John Levine, CPA, is one of Australia’s leading experts in financial management of education institutions and the intersection of finance operations with the academic enterprise. John has advised educational organisations in planning and delivery of financial sustainability and turnaround, drawing on deep experience in budgeting, planning and financial analysis in the education sector, both in Australia and overseas.

John was a Director of PhillipsKPA from 2008 to 2022 and has worked with clients at the cutting-edge of university finance, including integration with strategic planning and optimising resource allocation. He has worked on projects involving major change and innovative approaches to financial management.

 

Prior to joining PhillipsKPA John was Director of the Financial Management Resources Division at Monash University, and before that a senior financial analyst at Israel’s Council for Higher Education, the State accreditation and funding body for the higher education sector.

 

John has a Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) Economics and Accounting from the University of Wales and a Master of Business Administration from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  He is a Member of CPA Australia (CPA).
