Gwen Tinkler

Gwen Tinkler is an experienced human resources professional with a breadth and depth of HR leadership experience and achievement, having worked in senior people and culture roles at Deakin University, RMIT University, La Trobe University and with the Department of Human Services Victoria.
She was Executive Director Human Resources at Deakin University (from 2012 to 2021). In this role Gwen provided strategic leadership, planning, high level advice and support to the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, University Executive and Senior Management Group across all areas of HR management (including OH&S) to assist in the achievement of the University’s Strategic, Guiding and Enabling Plans and Annual Operational Targets.
Gwen also provided leadership and management to the HR Division’s functional teams, strategic and operational projects, and business as usual related deliverables, along with fulfilling the role of Executive Officer for the University’s Remuneration Committee of Council. She is degree qualified and has completed a strategic HRM program with the London Business School.
